Lives and works in Osaka, Japan
—
I have been influenced by Matisse’s color, Kandinsky’s composition and Japanese graphic design. I was fortunate enough to be exposed to various art forms that are not only those from Japan but also from other cultures such as British children’s literature, classical music, Russian ballet, paintings from Impressionism, Fauvism, and Cubism, and also American movies and music.
In my current practice, I create imaginary gardens. I try to find a balance in each composition.
