Lives and works in Richmond, Virginia
—
My recent work takes the form of mixed media collage on paper and intersects with the worlds of painting, drawing and sculpture. My studio practice has long been preoccupied with bringing together disparate parts and studio scraps in order to discover new and unexpected “wholes”. This practice feels more urgent in our present situation. Individual bits and pieces, which on their own can seem inconsequential, begin to speak of the individual and the community, order and chaos, control and chance, and elegance and awkwardness.
