That which one finds inspiring can be found in every surface, colour, shape or context.It serves as a visual categorisation of what one is enticed by. This small compilation of observational photography was born from collecting inspiration from the cities surrounding us. Some are a coincidence of necessity, some a designed object framed in a different light. All serve as a snapshot of a city scape that offers unexpectedly melancholy inspiration.
Artist Biography
Linda is a Latvian born multidisciplinary designer based in the Netherlands. Having grown up in Eastern Europe, she concentrates on the governing themes of her home country, mixing pagan traditions with the influences of the post Soviet era and the drawl of the West. A highly visual creator, she is often stimulated by the prosaic aspects that make up every day life. She works with mixed media, concentrating on soft materials. At the heart of her visual communication and the base for her projects is observational photography.
