Marisa Rapezzi: Every Moment

Marisa Rapezzi: Every Moment

Lives and works in Queens, New York

Though life can be monotonous and repetitive, I still find inspiration in it. I’m interested in documenting the precise details of life by exploring topics such as mental health affected by city isolation, and alienating relationships. Though these topics might not always end in pleasant outcomes, I still want to document every moment so I can further analyze the human experience.
I work in digital and analog photography. Currently, I am working with analog to give my images an unadulterated feeling. I photograph people, places, and still lifes around me. I love the ease of capturing a moment and freezing it in time. I’m interested in the slight distortion the camera creates and the crucial lighting that is necessary to create a nostalgic atmosphere.
