My painting process is an exploration of the phenomenology of our perception of space. Through images which arise and disappear within a click, the ubiquity of temporalities, and the relative permanence and evanescence of place and experience, space slips through our fingers: impossible to trap, except through the practice of painting. I favor the concept of landscape as a genre in painting in order to break down certain archetypes of our reality. My goal is to create images documenting our synchronic era while reversing the sovereignty of time, that is, taking the time to stop, linger, solve the logic of the painting.
